70 youth are participating in the Malteenos Sports Club Cricket Academy.  This is an intensive two-week exercise designed to prepare young cricketers for regional and international competitions, offering training in cricket fundamentals, media, and etiquette.

The training sessions run from July 15th  to July 27th , Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Cricket West Indies Announces Test Squad for Two Match Series Against Sri Lanka

Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture Charles Ramson Jr, speaking at the launch Monday said the technical and practical knowledge provided during the training is necessary for the youth’s overall development in the sport.

He also recommended that coaches utilise the principles from the ‘Talent Code’ book, highlighting its transferability across various disciplines.

Participants of the programme will automatically become members of the Malteenos Sports Club on completion of the two-week training exercise.
