Jamaica | International Beauty Expo set to Bedazzle Montego Bay June 28-30

MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica, – Jamaica’s tourism city of Montego Bay is set to explode in a burst of color and excitement next month as the dazzling 5th annual Jamaica International Beauty Expo takes center stage in the historic resort city.

From June 28 to 30, the Montego Bay Convention Centre will be transformed into a haven for beauty enthusiasts, practitioners, and aficionados, converging on Jamaica’s famed western tourist enclave for an unforgettable celebration of glamour, innovation, and cultural pride.

With a remarkable delegation from the Jamaican Diaspora in Canada confirmed to attend, this year’s expo promises to elevate the international appeal of Jamaica’s beauty industry while highlighting the deep-rooted connections between the island and its global community.

Mayor of Montego Bay, Councillor Richard Vernon has welcomed the event.

Following a vibrant media launch on Saturday, May 25, at the newly-opened Harbour City Shopping Mall, preparations are in high gear for this eagerly anticipated event. Endorsed by the Mayor of Montego Bay, Richard Vernon, and the President of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Oral Heaven, the expo is poised to play a pivotal role in boosting Jamaica’s economy and enhancing its beauty sector.

“We are honoured to welcome a strong delegation from the Jamaican Diaspora in Canada,” said Suzette Brown, founder and coordinator of the Jamaica International Beauty Expo. “Their participation showcases the global reach of our beauty industry and strengthens the cultural and economic ties we cherish with our diaspora communities.”

The Canadian delegation, led by events industry leader Keisha Pinto, includes skincare therapist Orica Smart of the O Spot, Colin Jackson of the renowned Jack Flawless Photography, event and sponsorship architect Jacqueline Clarke of the Well Connected, and full-time family, beauty, and lifestyle content creator and psychologist, Olivia Parker. Adding to the international flair, participants from Nigeria and the US will also join the expo.

Event Highlights

The entertainment highlight this year, is a performance by international artiste and Montego Bay-native, Shaneil Muir.

The Jamaica International Beauty Expo is set to captivate attendees with a diverse array of engaging activities designed to inspire and excite participants at all levels. A key highlight is the second staging of the well-received JIBE Business Luncheon, in partnership with the Jamaica Promotion Corporation (JAMPRO). This luncheon offers a unique platform for local businesses to network and engage with international markets, driving growth and innovation.

Another exciting feature is the introduction of the New Age Thrift Pavilion, which presents an opportunity for attendees to join the circular fashion movement. This innovative space encourages sustainable fashion practices and allows participants to explore unique thrift finds. Additionally, the Glow Bar will be reintroduced, providing a vibrant area for make-up artists to showcase their skills and connect with new clients.

Live demonstrations by top beauty professionals, educational presentations primarily by Heart NSTA Trust, and a wide variety of exhibitors will ensure that there is something for everyone at the expo. The entertainment highlight this year includes a performance by international artist and Montego Bay native, Shaneil Muir, promising to add a spectacular touch to the event.
