Education Ministry Launches Mash Band 2024

The Ministry of Education on Thursday afternoon launched its Mashramani Band 2024 under the theme, “Blazing the Trail of Knowledge with Transformative Technology and Inclusive Education.

Delivering brief remarks, Head of the Ministry’s Unit of Allied Arts, Mr. Nicholas Fraser stated that this year, the Ministry is going to be competing in the medium band category.  He noted that the Ministry of Education has always been the most eye-catching band during the road parade on Mash Day with this year being no exception.

During the launch, the audience was treated to performances by the St. Rose’s High School Steelpan Orchestra, a poem entitled “From grass to grace” performed by a student from the Graham’s Primary School, a song and a peek into what the Ministry of Education’s costumes will look like during the parade.
