Dear Editor,
I do not wish to repeat the sentiments expressed by former President Donald Ramotar, published in Stabroek News, 12/01/2024, titled “ I wish to urge our CARICOM countries to join South Africa in its action.”
I share his views completely and ask that our Government and Opposition see eye to eye, voices of concern and condemnation against the brutality of Israel in GAZA
What is worrisome and surprising, is as a people, Jews have earned sympathy globally for the holocaust, that is the mistreatment by the NAZIS in the 1930s and 40s.
How can the descendants of the holocaust turn around and inflict the same kind of treatment on other people?
We must speak up, we must stand up against wrong and evil in any form, for if we don’t we will, all of us be consumed by the belief, if not the culture that might is right.
