Former Mayor Pt. Ubraj Narine, esteemed community leader and advocate for cultural diversity, paid a special visit to Vishnu Mandir in Toronto, Canada. Pt. Narine used the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions with Vishnu Mandir’s spiritual leaders, participating in serene prayers. Embracing the values of tolerance, respect, and mutual understanding, he actively sought to reinforce the message of communal harmony.

According to the temple, its mission is to provide a place for spiritual, social and educational development at all phases of one’s life, from early childhood education, youth guidance, spiritual nurturing of families to seniors care. The temple aims to be a key voice of Sanatan Dharma to propagate a proper understanding of its religious scriptures and culture norms, along with the teaching of Hinduism in educational institutions.

Voice of the Vedas Cultural Sabha Inc.was founded in 1977 and incorporated in 1979. The Vishnu Mandir started as a little house in 1981 by a few supporters from Guyana and Trinidad.
