The HVP  “Men of Influence” Heart of the Virtuous One (HOVO) award is a prestigious award given to men who positively contribute towards the enrichment of society. It is the brainchild of  Guyanese media mogul Treveynie Persaud. It was first given in November 2022 to celebrate International Men’s Day. This award recognises the work done by male leaders across Guyana, the award redresses the underrepresentation of men and transforms how male leaders are viewed in Guyana. The organisers noted that the award attracted over 100 nominations for consideration by the judges to recognise the contributions of male leaders in any sector of the country.
