The New York-based Caribbean Guyana Institute for Democracy (CGID) is appalled by video footage showing operatives of Guyana’s PPP regime and their hired thugs disrupting a meeting of the visiting delegation of US legislators in Linden.
Both the Regional Chairman of Region 10 and the Mayor of Linden were present. Despite the presence of these two high-ranking officials and twelve elected officials from the United States, there was no police presence. This was a deliberate effort by the PPP government to endanger the lives of the US legislators.
After traveling to Washington and New York to paint rosy, misleading pictures that the Guyanese are united and that there is no discrimination, the PPP Government at the direction of Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo has been viciously attacking the delegation, which is visiting Guyana to investigate allegations of racial discrimination.
Obviously, the government’s attacks on the delegation are to obfuscate the rampant incidents of racism and racial discrimination against African Guyanese by the PPP regime. After failing to get the Biden Administration to issue a statement against the delegation, the government in its typical display of dictatorial governance akin to the behavior of the Pigs in the novel – “Animal Farm,” barred the Guyana Police Force from protecting these US elected officials and sent criminal elements and hooligans to threaten their physical safety. The hooligans then went on government television in Linden to boast and denounce the fact-finding mission. Such bellicosity and hooliganism are unprecedented in any country.
As usual, the PPP attackers were paid black house slaves and thugs. This is what the PPP does. Use taxpayer’s dollars to pay African Guyanese house slaves to do the dirty work of PPP ethnic supremacists.
The world is now seeing the plight of African Guyanese and the abuse they suffer at the hands of this despotic, autocratic, racist PPP ethnocracy.
PPP government officials must be treated with the same level of indignity and contempt whenever they visit the US. Moreover, Guyanese in the US should campaign against any attempt by the PPP to involve the US government and/or the US Congress in any crisis Guyana faces.
Bharrat Jagdeo and his PPP members must mobilize their paid thugs and supporters to defend Guyana, which they believe belongs to them only.
Furthermore, Bharrat Jagdeo told his East Indian supporters in Berbice that African Guyanese members of the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) are criminals who kick down their doors. Every member of the GDF should demand that Jagdeo immediately retract this racist statement and apologize for his reckless, mendacious diatribe that promotes racial hostilities.
