GTUC’s Lincoln Lewis Says Minibus Fare Row Reflects Deeper Governance Crisis

Former Mayor Pt. Ubraj Narine yesterday attended the Guyana Police Force Traffic Department Annual Road Safety Church Service held at the Police Officer’s Mess Annex, Eve Leary. The event brought together key stakeholders and community members to foster a collective effort in promoting road safety and reducing accidents on Guyana’s roads.
Narine, aย ย tireless advocate for the safety and well-being of the citizens of Guyana saidย he recognised the importance of such an occasion and willingly participated to support law enforcement personnel in their commitment to maintaining road safety standards. Throughout his term as Mayor, he championed numerous initiatives focused on enhancing road infrastructure and implementing effective traffic management systems.
The Annual Road Safety Church Service serves as a rallying point for the Traffic Department to engage with the public and create awareness about safe driving practices. The event was filled with prayers, hymns, and insightful speeches, highlighting the need for all road users to prioritize responsible behaviour while on the roads.
