Below is a  statement issued by the International Decade for People of African Descent Assembly-Guyana (IDPADA-G) regarding the unauthorised use of its trademark-

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF THE IDPADA-G TRADEMARK

The International Decade for People of African Descent Assembly-Guyana would like to inform the public that, while the IDPADA-G logo is prominently featured in the promotion of the Cultural Re-education programme funded by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, this organization is in no way involved in planning or implementing of this program. IDPADA-G was not consulted and did not grant permission for the use of our trademark.

IDPADA-G notes this as an attempt to pass off an event and the organizers of that event as having an affiliation with IDPADA-G. This unauthorized use of IDPADA-G’s name and its trademark is intended to benefit from the goodwill IDPADA-G has accumulated through its work over the years.

While we encourage the study of all African history, IDPADA-G is not involved in and does not have any responsibility for the content or conduct of this programme.
