Guyana’s team all set to participate in 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile.

Last Friday members of the National Sports Commission, Guyana Olympic Association and officials from the Ministry of Sports and Vulture met with national athletes in view of ensuring systems are in place to aid their performance and wellbeing for the upcoming Pan American Games to be held in Santiago Chile.

Minister Charles Ramson Jr.  met with Guyana’s athletes and officials selected for the 2023 edition of the Pan American games in a hybrid format at his Ministry’s Main Street conference room. Ramson engaged the athletes , urged them to do their best and also extended well wishes on behalf of himself, the government and people of Guyana.

He individually spoke to the respective Managers, Coaches and athletes of each team and engaged them on their preparedness, queried if there are any challenges, or areas they believe we can work collaboratively  to improve and the athletes’ prospects at the games.

President of the Guyana Olympic Association, Mr. Godfrey Munroe, was present with members of his Executive Committee. He delivered a charge and wished all the athletes well on behalf of the G.O.A.

A key feature of Guyana’s representation is the multiplicity of disciplines of which we have qualified athletes for at the games.

Guyana will be represented in the disciplines of Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Swimming, Weight Lifting and Esport Chef de Mission is Mr. Deion Nurse.
