Mrs Alicia Alstrom, our Human Resources and Marketing noted that the event was the  company’s way of honoring its corporate responsibility. She stated ‘’I believe that it is  important for businesses to contribute to society. Breast Cancer is a plaque that not only  affects women but it also affects men and as a business entity I believe that it is vital to  support those who are surviving and this walk is just the beginning.’’

Alstrom conveyed that come next year, the company will be producing and selling branded  Breast Cancer Awareness T-shirts. These proceeds she said will be donated to a Cancer  Foundation to support screening and examination for breast cancer patients.

Cancer affects millions of people worldwide making it one of the leading causes of death.  Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) has a long history of over 30 years, established in  1985 to occur every October. Awareness surrounding breast cancer is incredibly important  as early detection, often through screening, can catch the disease when it is most treatable. As such, Morgan’s Investment Inc. through this initiative pledged its support to persons who  have survived or are surviving breast cancer.

Morgan’s Investment Inc. is a locally owned and operated metal welding, fabrication, rental  service and contractor company, established in Guyana in 2009.
