The Scout Association of Guyana will be represented at the 25th World Scout Jamboree in Saemangeum, South Korea by a contingent of nine (9) Scouts and one (1) leader. The  theme for this year’s Jamboree is “Draw Your Dream” where up to 50,000 participants  are set to attend and encouraged to bring dreams to reality.

We are inviting the press to a small press conference on Friday 7th at 3pm at The Scout  Association of Guyana on Woolford Ave (between Albert st and Camp rd) to allow for  interactions between the contingent and the press and to continue the association’s  mandate to be more visible and encourage new membership.

A Jamboree is a once in a lifetime experience for most, and  we are happy to officially announce our attendance.

Attending will be:

  1. Bonicka Gordon – Contingent Leader
  2. Akeelah McAlmont
  3. Christopher Garcia
  4. Dietra Fields
  5. Kareem Rollox
  6. Malachi Jones-Alleyne
  7. Neville McDonald
  8. Randle Austin
  9. Robert Henry
  10. Zionara Lawrence

Also attending the jamboree will be Mrs. Zaida Joaquin who will be not be part of the  contingent but was appointed as a Deputy Sub Camp leader, where she will be part of a  team over looking 10,000 campers.
