Shri Devi Mandir hosts the first medical outreach and blood drive in Tuschen

Approximately 150 persons including children benefited from  a medical outreach hosted by Shri Devi Mandir, Global Humanitarian Foundation Inc. – a New York-based foundation led by Pandit Tillack Seerantan.

General doctor consultation, ear, nose and throat specialist consultation, Immunization, physiotherapy, optometry, dentistry, pharmacy, Pediatric care as well as a blood drive was also conducted.

The New York-based team has been working in Guyana over the past 20 years conducting charitable work and conducting medical missions such as Hosting community Health Fairs ,Blood Drives, Hampers distribution, and feeding programs, amongst many other charitable acts.

The team hosted its first medical outreach in Tuschen on Friday, June 09 in partnership with the West Demerara Regional Hospital Medical Outreach team directed by Mr.Calvin Roberts.

Pandit Seeratan noted that the outreach, being the first of its kind, was a grand success and he extends his heartfelt gratitude to the team from West Demerara Regional Hospital for collaborating.

Nurse Sabrina Critchlow triages an officer of the law.

He also stated that Guyana can look forward to many more health fairs and charitable work from his organization as he sees this as a way to give back to his country. Free blood pressure and sugar machines were distributed to those in need.

The team will be returning to Guyana next year, to continue their charitable work.
