Dear Editor,

Commissioner Rohee can jump high or jump low as he has done in his diabolic letter in  Kaieteur News on the question of members of the Discipline Services being affected by the omission of their names on the list for balloting/voting at their place of assignment on balloting date. The fact of the matter is that names were omitted.

Persons were unable to ballot and there is no record of such occurrences and no provision for such persons to be released to return home to vote. It is precisely because they will not be released that arrangements should have been made for them to vote on ballot day at their work sites/locations. That is the crux of the matter. Such persons are likely to be disenfranchised as GECOM shirks its responsibility to ensure that every voter is given the opportunity to vote.

Yours truly,

Vincent Alexander

GECOM Commissioner
