Hamid charged for murder of Mohabir

48-year-old Hamid Amin called ‘Peppy,’ a carpenter of Block 8 Mon Repos East Coast Demerara was arrested on May 29th, 2023 and charged on Friday with the offence of murder committed on Shivram Mohabir who was his niece’s boyfriend.

Amin appeared before Magistrate Alisha George at the Sparendaam Magistrates Court where the indictable charge was read to him but he was not required to plea.

CCJ to Rule July 29 in Mohameds’ Extradition Appeal

He was remanded to prison and the matter was adjourned to August 2nd, 2023 for reports.
