[๐‚๐จ๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฒ๐ง๐ž ๐๐ž๐ซ๐›๐ข๐œ๐ž- 20th May 2023] – With the Local Government Election (LGE) fast approaching, MP Walton-Desir took the lead in a highly successful walkabout and community outreach initiative in Macedonia/Joppa, Corentyne Berbice. This event aimed to foster strong community connections and gather invaluable insights as the election draws near.

During the walkabout, MP Walton-Desir actively engaged with residents, creating an open space for dialogue and exchange of ideas. This community outreach initiative provided a platform for community members to voice their concerns, discuss local issues, and share their vision for the development of Macedonia/Joppa. effectively.

The primary goal of the walkabout was to identify the most pressing priorities and challenges faced by the residents. The MP and local candidates walked the streets, visited public spaces, and interacted with individuals and families, gaining firsthand knowledge of the community’s unique circumstances. This valuable insight will enable the local LGE Candidates to collaborate with local stakeholders and authorities to propose sustainable solutions and address the identified concerns effectively.
