Georgetown Mayor Pt. Ubraj Narine was bestowed an award at the Universal Peace Federation, Peace Summit 2023, held in Seoul, Korea.
Awardees at the 2023 Summit
The Peace Federation acknowledges His Worship, Pandit Ubraj Narine, Mayor of the City of Georgetown, as an Ambassador for Peace who dedicates his life to the safety of others and promotes universal moral values, strong family life, interreligious cooperation, international harmony, renewal of the United Nations, a responsible public media, and the establishment of a culture of peace that transcends the racial, national and religious barriers.
Mayor Narine said he was honoured to receive this award and indicated he will continue working towards contributing and maintaining peace through leadership, religion, and human decency in the City of Georgetown, nationally and internationally.

The summit, which attracted leaders from around the world, was held this year between 3rd May – 6th May.
