Guyanese swimmer Raekwon Noel has made his country proud by winning an impressive four gold medals at the Carifta Games Aquatics Championship in Curaçao. The 15-17 age group competition featured swimmers from 22 different countries across the English, Spanish, French, and Dutch-speaking Caribbean.

Noel’s exceptional performance at the championship has placed him among the top athletes in the region. He first won gold in the Boys 15 – 17 1500m freestyle with a new personal best time of 16:17.92. He then went on to win gold in the boys 15-17 400m Individual Medley, clocking in at four minutes, 42.51s, beating out competitors from the Cayman Islands and Trinidad and Tobago.

Noel also broke four of his own Guyana National Records and set a new Carifta record in the 800 freestyle. In addition, he missed breaking the 200 butterfly record by less than two hundredths of a second. His outstanding achievements have earned him widespread praise, and according to local swimming experts, he is the only Guyanese male swimmer to medal at Carifta.

Today, Noel is scheduled to swim in his final event, the 400 freestyle. Any medal he earns in this event would be the icing on the cake for him, his country, and his fans all around the world. His success is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and talent, as well as his supportive family.

Noel’s remarkable achievements have moved many to tears, especially those who understand the challenges he has faced with the local swimming association. His character, both confident and humble, is a credit to his family, particularly his supportive mother and grandmother. He has shown that with determination and perseverance, anything is possible.

Congratulations on your outstanding performance Raekwon Noel!  We wish you continued success in all of your future endeavors. You are an inspiration to us all and a shining example of what can be achieved through hard work and dedication. Well done, Raekwon! Keep making us proud!
