In Guyana, the Fulbright Foreign Student Program is administered by the U.S. Embassy. The Embassy re-launched the Fulbright Foreign Student Programme in 2019.  The scholarship gives Guyanese citizens the opportunity to complete a Master’s or PhD at a higher education institution in the United States.

The U.S. – Guyana Fulbright program aims to foster cultural understanding between our two countries. Therefore, preference is given to applicants who do not have extensive experience (six months or longer) in the United States.
