Fisherman charged for ‘break-and-enter-and-larceny’

The Guyana Police Force, in a release, said Carlton Peterson, called ‘Robot’, a 38-year-old fisherman of Lima Housing Scheme, Essequibo Coast, was arrested on Sunday and charged today (Wednesday 15th February, 2023), for the offence of Break and Enter and Larceny: Contrary to Section 229 (a) of the Criminal Law Offences Act Chapter 8:01.
The act was committed on Abdool Hafeez of Lima New Housing Scheme, Essequibo Coast.
Peterson appeared at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court today, via Zoom, before Magistrate Crystal Lambert, where the charge was read to him.
He pleaded not guilty, and was remanded to prison until February 28.
