Today the United States (U.S) and others around the world who believe in racial equality and equity honour the birth and recognise the life’s work of civil rights icon, Rev Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. In the U.S King’s birthday is a national holiday which is commemorated on the third Monday of January.

King was born on January 15, 1929 and died on April 4, 1968 by as assassin’s bullet
