Dear Editor,

One of my seniors always said to me that of all the Parties and Groups in Guyana, the PPP is superior when it comes to disbursement of half-truths or what we say is pure propaganda.

I refer to the Hon. Minister Kwame McKoy’s letter published in  December 8, 2022 Kaieteur News titled ‘APNU + AFC placed a target on Afro-Guyanese professionals in public service.’

The content of his letter is misleading if not mischievous. I shall deal with the case of the Chief Education Officer Marcel Hutson.

My information is and I hope that the media will investigate that Mr. Hutson earlier reached retirement age, proceeded on pre-retirement leave and obtained all, I repeat all of his benefits related to his employment in the Public service.

The political shenanigans which followed is of course another matter.

As a youngster I was told that the truth shall set you free and that my prayers are for the freeing of the writer of that spurious and inaccurate letter.
