Location: The National Stadium, East Bank Demerara (EBD) and West Bank Demerara (WBD), Georgetown, Guyana

Event:  The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) T20 cricket tournament will be held from September 16 – October 1.  The event will be held at the National Stadium and media reports estimate thousands of visitors will attend the event. Expect increased vehicular traffic, heavy pedestrian presence, and increased noise levels in the neighborhoods surrounding the National Stadium and roadways.

Actions to Take: 

  • Avoid crowds
  • Keep a low profile.
  • Use caution when walking or driving at night when traveling in these areas.
  • Be aware of your surroundings.
