The Guyana Fire Service (GFS) now has three new water bowsers to aid its firefighting capacity. The bowsers are said to be valued at $46.2 million and will be dispatched to Bartica, Eccles, and Georgetown.
Each bowser is said to have a storage capacity of 1800-gallon and an independent pumping system to render support for smaller issues. Acting Chief Fire Officer, Gregory Wickham, in the handing over ceremony said the Service is particularly glad for the new tenders or water bowsers because they will assist in having water readily available to do firefighting. |
