Duo arrested with 387.7 grams of  marijuana at Baramita

Ranks from Baramita Police Station in Regional Division #1 have arrested two persons who were found in possession of 387.7 grams of suspected marijuana.

The ranks at about 15:00 hrs yesterday  (14th June, 2022) acted on information received and went to an area called Barama Line in Baramita where they contacted a 24-year-old unemployed man of Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo; and a 32-year-old unemployed man of First Street Cummings Lodge, ECD, respectively.

Searches were conducted on their persons and personal belongings which revealed four (4) transparent plastic parcels, each containing seeds, leaves and stems suspected to be cannabis which, when weighed, amounted to 387.7 grams.

They were both arrested and placed into custody at the Baramita Police Station pending further investigations.
