Former Bishop’s High School teacher, Coen Jackson has been found not guilty on one count of sexual activity with a child under eighteen by abusing a position of trust.

A Demerara jury handed down the verdict today, Tuesday, February 22, 2022. However, the jury was unable to arrive at a verdict on the remaining three counts on the same charge.

In the remaining three counts the verdict was nine not guilty.

The former Business and Economics teacher was accused of committing the offence between December 2010 and May 2011.

Jackson was represented by Attorneys-at-Law Savannah Barnwell, Jerome Khan and Nigel Hughes.
