Man succumbs following Melanie accident

A 32-year-old man died on Sunday after his motorcycle slammed into a Canter truck at Cinema Road, Melanie, East Coast Demerara.

Dead is Leon Singh  of Enmore, East Coast Demerara.
Reports are that Singh was riding his Kawasaki motorcycle along the roadway and was heading to the city around 09:30hrs on Sunday when the Canter,  which was proceeding north along Cinema Road , collided with his motorcycle. The driver of the vehicle was attempting to cross the roadway when he collided with Singh’s bike.

Origin of Black History Month

Persons at the scene related that Singh attempted to swerve from the vehicle but his efforts were in vain. He was rushed for treatment to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation(GPHC) but died while receiving medical attention around midday.
Police are investigating the incident.
