Investigations revealed that on the date and time mentioned the victim was at the shop placing bets when the suspect approached him and told him to pass his haversack which contained the cash mentioned that was on his back. He refused and the suspect pulled out a hand gun from his pants waist and discharged a round which hit the victim on his right upper thigh. The suspect then grabbed the haversack with its contents and escaped east on Robb Street on a black motor cycle without registration number that was parked on Robb Street.  The victim was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation, where he is presently receiving medical attention.
