Deceased, Dakera Gittens

Two persons have died early Sunday morning in a horrific accident on Homestretch Avenue, Georgetown.

Dead are: Dakera Gittens of Festival City, South Ruimveldt, Georgetown and Tonika Halley of East LaPenitence. They were part of a group of four persons who were returning home after a night out.
Reports are that the car in which the friends were was speeding when the driver lost control and crashed the vehicle  into a power pole along Homestretch Avenue. Gittens died on the spot, while Halley died later Sunday morning while being treated at the Georgetown Public Hospital.

Two other friends are in critical condition at the hospital. They are: Joel Rose and Troy Glen. Police are investigating the accident.
