…male and female passengers wanted drop off in ‘D’ Field Sophia
The police are investigating an alleged simple larceny of a taxi by two passengers, a man and woman, on Tuesday.
According to reports, the taxi belongs to 43-year-old electrician of West Minister, Parafaite Harmonie, Corwin Griffith.
He was operating the silver Toyota new model Allion PXX 4871 worth GYD $3.4M as a private hire taxi. On Tuesday, Griffith was flagged down by the two persons in the vicinity of America street.
The male was dressed in a grey jersey and black short pants. He is medium built has fine feature face, low cut hair and is dark in complexion. He entered the car with a female dressed in a black rampa and is medium built, has a fat feature face, wore plaited hair and is brown in complexion.
They requested the taxi to go to ‘D’ Field Sophia. The victim accepted the request and the suspects boarded the vehicle and they placed two black garbage bags suspected to be clothing in Griffith’s car trunk.
At about 22:20 hours, they proceeded to last street, ‘D’ Field Sophia. On arrival at last field access road the victim exited his car and went to his trunk to remove the bags. In the process, the male went into the driver side seat and drove away with the motor car with the female, and escaped in western direction, along a cross street and made good their escape. A police investigation is ongoing.
