18 arrested for Narcotics, Robbery Under Arms, Receiving stolen property and unlawful possession

Eighteen persons have been arrested by Police for Trafficking narcotics, Robbery Under Arms, Receiving Stolen Property and Unlawful Possession of Guyana Defence Force (GDF) uniform and a quantity of Pharmaceuticals.

According to a Police statement, between 04:30h and 09:30h, ranks of Regional Division #4 ‘A’ (Georgetown) commanded by an Inspector of Police on Saturday conducted raids on several homes in Hadfield Street, Yamaha Springs, Sophia, Cummings Lodge, Atlantic Ville, Kitty, Albertown, Bourda, Leopold Street, Albouystown, Cemetery Road and Durban Street.

During the raid, three XR motorcycles, two bicycles, one keyboard and eight cellphones were seized and lodged.

Investigations are continuing.
