Two more persons, a 58-year-old man and a 39-year-old man, have died from COVID-19 in Guyana.
On Sunday, the Ministry of Health regrettably informed that the two additional deaths take the total number of deaths in Guyana to 169.
The 58-year-old male was a resident of Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica) while the 39-year-old was from Region 7 (Cuyuni-Mazaruni). These persons died while receiving care at the Government’s medical facility.
The Health Ministry has expressed its sincerest condolences to the families of the two deceased and has promised to make every effort to provide all the necessary support during this difficult time to render any assistance needed.
The Ministry is also appealing to the general public to respect the confidentiality of the two deceased and their families and to allow them to mourn their tragic loss in peace.
