Kamuni Creek labourer charged with having sexual activity with a child

A 40-year-old labourer of China Town, Kamuni Creek, Demerara River was on Friday arrested and charged with Sexual Activity with a Child Family Member contrary to Section 10 (3) (a) of the Sexual Offenses Act Chapter 8:03.

Reports are that the act occurred between December 1 and 31, 2020 at the aforementioned location.

The labourer made an appearance before Magistrate Ali-Seepaul at the Leonora Magistrates’ Court where the indictable charge was read to him.

The man has since been remanded to prison. The case has been adjourned to January 21, 2021.
