Lusignan inmate found with 7 grams of ganja in pants waist

A 23-year-old inmate on remand at the Lusignan Prison was on Thursday found with a small transparent ziplock bag containing a quantity of leafs and stems suspected to be cannabis in his pants waist.

According to reports, at about 14:25h a Prison Officer carried out a search on the man and discovered the items. The content of the bag was weighed and amounted to 7 grams.

The inmate was told of the offence committed and cautioned in accordance with “the Judges rules” after which he admitted.
