Police have arrested a 29-year-old man for being in possession of leaves, seeds and stems, suspected to be cannabis hidden in his crutch. The suspected cannabis weighed 60.1 grams.
According to reports, at about 08:24h Police conducted a search on several passengers in a motor vehicle at the Puruni-Itaballi check-point on Tuesday. Two transparent plastic bags containing a number of leaves, seeds and stems, suspected to be cannabis, were found hidden in the man’s crutch.

The said male was arrested and taken to the Bartica Police Station, where the suspected cannabis was weighed in his presence. He remains in custody assisting with investigations.
