Ganja, cell phone found during Lusignan Prison raid

A raid carried out at the Lusignan Prison on Monday unearthed a  number of contraband items.

In a a press release police say that on Monday about 15:50 hours a search was carried out at the Lusignan Prison, E.C.D on two inmates and 490 grams of suspected cannabis was discovered along with the following items:
1 cellphone with simcard; 1 earpiece; 29 packets of cigarettes; a quantity of ziploc bags;12 smoking papers, a quantity of tobacco leaves and $30,000.

The suspected cannabis was weighed in their presence and amounted to 490 grams. The items were lodged at Vigilance Police Station.
