…President Ali says during presidential outreach

President Irfaan Ali on Wednesday urged Region Two businesses to “self-police” to ensure COVID-19 protocols are followed by their staff and customers. This he said will help in reducing the spread of the deadly disease.

“You need to do self-policing… so that you will follow the COVID -19 protocols,” the Head of State told business owners in the Pomeroon – Supenaam Region (Region Two) during a presidential outreach.

President Ali also reminded the business owners that all staff must wear masks, that there must be proper hand washing facilities available for customers and that workers must constantly sanitise surfaces.

The President also directed National Security Advisor, Captain Gerry Gouveia to immediately host a briefing with business owners on the existing COVID- 19 protocols and guidelines.

During his interaction with the residents of Region Two, the President continuously reminded persons to stand six feet apart and avoid overcrowding.
