Joseph’s relatives believe that Joseph may have taken his life Tuesday night. They said the man, said to be in his thirties, habitually used drugs but did odd jobs in the Village. On Tuesday, he reportedly had an argument with his mother, whom he lived with. The woman was forced to call the Police after Joseph threatened her.

“Yesterday he was threatening her and she called the police and when the police came here he hide away and afterwards he told her that she don’t have to go to the station no more, that’s the last thing he told her,” cousin of the deceased told the Village Voice News.

He was neither married nor had children.

Police have since launched an investigation.
