Enquiries disclosed that the victim lived at a one story wooden structure, with his common law wife, the suspect and her son. On Sunday at 10:00 hours, after leaving the market, they all left for the suspect’s friend’s home, located at first Koker, Parika, where the suspect started to drink. They spent about two hours there, then left for home.

On arrival home about 17:30 hours, the Morgow and his wife had an argument over food that she prepared for him, which resulted in him pushing her to the ground. While on the ground, he kicked and a slapped her in the presence of the suspect, the police report stated.  At this point Morgow’s sister intervened and questioned  him which resulted  in an argument and a physical altercation.

The sister then ran to the kitchen, where she picked up a knife and rushed back to the Morgow where they continued arguing. The suspect then dealt Morgow a stab to his left side chest. Morgow then stumbled outside and  fell to the ground..Police said an alarm was raised and ranks were summoned to the scene. The suspect was arrested and a search was conducted which revealed the suspected murder weapon in a black and white hand bag she was carrying.

The body was  then escorted to Leonora Cottage Hospital, where Morgow was pronounced dead by the doctor on duty at 20:30 hours and then escorted to the Ezekiel Funeral home where it is awaiting a Post Mortem Examination.

Investigations are ongoing
