Dear Editor
In light of all the incidents I’ve seen and read about involving ranks of our police force and the general public. I would like to know:
- Should police officers approach us base on our social position or should they approached in the same manner?
- If we break the laws should we be exempt or have lenient treatment base on our status. Also, do we have privileges base on our status.
I read that the rule of law is the idea that every person is subject to the laws of the land regardless of their status. I’ve had discussions with my colleagues and friends and the majority is of the opinion that base on our status we’re entitled to privileges. Dear Guyana/Editor, are the majority puzzled if not what are the wages of these privileges?
