Covent Garden man injured after crashing into median

A 26-year-old Covent Garden, East Bank Demerara (EBD) man is nursing injuries at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) following a serious accident which occurred at about 03:50h on Sunday on the Prospect Public Road, EBD.

According to Police, Mark Anthony Singh was driving motor car PCC 6296 south along the western lane on the eastern carriageway of the Prospect Public Road at a fast rate when he lost control of the vehicle and collided into a concrete median at the open space between the eastern and western carriageways.
Singh was removed from the vehicle in an unconscious state and taken to the GHPHC where he was admitted as a patient of the Accident and Emergency Unit.
