Reports are that Wilson was attacked by two of his ‘possesed’ cousins as he attempted to turn off a generator at his home around 20:00hrs on Monday. The man’s relatives heard him screaming and when they went to investigate, he was found with chop wounds to his back and jaw.

He was rushed by car to the Kumaka District Hospital at Santa Rosa, Moruca where he succumbed while efforts were being made to airlift him to the city late on Monday night.

Reports from Kwebanna are that Wilson’s attackers were in search of their sister when they attacked the victim. The men and their sister, all of whom are adults, lived at another remote section of the village and they were said to have been experiencing mental issues.

The men, one of whom is a school teacher, lost their father recently to the COVID-19 pandemic and his death created issues within their household. The men informed their sister that she was not to leave their home and that they were in communication with ‘higher forces’ regarding their future.

The men’s sister escaped from the home two days ago and went to other relatives in another section of Kwebanna where she complained about her brothers strange behaviour. It was while she complained to persons, that her brothers launched a search for her on Monday night.

Police are investigating the incident.
