Police are investigating a murder committed on Claravel Johnson, age 28 yrs, a vendor of Lot 142 Cooper Street Albouytown.
The murder occurred about 06:25hrs Tuesday October at the woman’s home by her reputed husband.
Enquiries disclosed that the victim and the suspect lived together at the said address. Tuesday morning they had a misunderstanding during which the suspect chopped Johnson on her right foot behind her knee with a cutlass. She was subsequently picked up by neighbours and rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital where she died while receiving treatment. The suspect is still on the run.
