Martin Cedric Herman met his untimely death early Thursday morning after the tractor he was operating broke into two causing him to be pinned underneath.
This publication understands that the 71-year- old man of Orealla Village, was at the time transporting lumber on the tractor with which a trailer was attached. However; the trailer was heavily loaded with lumber thus causing the back wheel of the trailer to snap.
As a result, the front of the tractor was lifted and Herman was caught between due to the weight on the back of the tractor.
Herman along with five other men was taking the lumber to Orealla waterfront when the incident occurred.
He was picked up from under the tractor and rushed to the Orealla Health Centre where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
