During the brief meeting, Minister Edghill expressed shock in receiving the news that Matthew’s Ridge in Region One has been without electricity since March of 2020. However, upon learning this, Edghill assured that: “notwithstanding the issues of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the Ministry of Public Health safety guidelines, this matter should have already been resolved,” the release quoted him as saying. Further, the minister assured the officials that since they have made representation action will be taken to resolve the matter assiduously.

Additionally, Minister Edghill has instructed his team at the Hinterland Electrification Company Inc. to make contact with the engineers on the ground to have the engines up and running immediately.
