Kuru Kururu man found dead in yard

18 July 2012: The Protest, The Shooting, A Community’s Resolve

Police are investigating the murder of Terence Alstrom a 66-year-old pensioner of Track B Kuru Kururu ,Linden- Soesdyke Highway whose body was found lying motionless in his yard about 22:30h on Friday, July 10, 2020.

According to a police release enquiries disclosed that Alstrom was living alone at his farm house which is about two mile in the Kuru kururu backdam while his children would check on him frequently. They last received a text message from him on Thursday 9 th July 2020 in the morning hours. His body was examined and a chop wound was seen behind his head and bruises to the upper back. His house was checked and found undisturbed but his cell phone was not located.

The body is presently at  Lyken’s Funeral Home awaiting an autopsy.
A further update will follow, police said.
