On this joyous occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, as we celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, let us not forget the profound teachings and the timeless wisdom imparted by this divine being.

Shri Krishna, the epitome of righteousness and devotion, taught us to strive for unity and harmony among all beings. His message encompasses principles that are not limited to the realm of spirituality alone, but also resonate deeply in the world of politics.

In the current political landscape, it is imperative that we evoke the spirit of shri Krishna to guide us towards a path of inclusive governance, justice, and equality. Just as Lord Krishna advocated for righteousness and good governance, we must strive for leaders who mirror these values in their actions.

Mayor Pt Ubraj Narine.

The teaching of Shri Krishna reminds us to reflect on our political choices and champion leaders who exhibit integrity, transparency, and humility. We must elect representatives who prioritize human welfare, uplift the downtrodden, and foster an environment of social and economic equity.

Let us remember that Shri Krishna, even as a child, possessed immense wisdom and courage to confront injustice. Similarly, as citizens, it falls upon us to become agents of change and hold our elected officials accountable for their actions. We must actively participate in the democratic process, ensuring that our voices are heard and our concerns addressed.

Shri Krishna Janmashtami serves as a reminder that political power should not be an opportunity for personal gains, but a responsibility to serve the nation and its people. We must stand united against corruption, nepotism, and any form of exploitation that hinder the progress and development of our society.

As we celebrate this auspicious occasion, let us pledge to build a nation where compassion, dignity, and inclusivity become the cornerstones of our political framework. May Lord Krishna’s teachings continue to guide us in our pursuit of a just and equitable society.

Wishing you all a blessed Krishna Janmashtami! May the spirit of Shri Krishna inspire us to create a politically aware and responsible society.

Pt.Ubraj Narine, JP, COA
Former Mayor
