The Miss Guyana Culture Queen is down to 10 finalists who will be advancing to the pageant slated for late June at the National Cultural Centre.
After an intense screening and review of 29 applicants, Denica Henry, Jasmaine Assanah, Kayla King, Keri Duncan, Lisa Hassan, Quissieana Odle, Shemina Peroune, Siani Archer, Tamasha Oxford and Tamia Dodson were the 10 Guyanese women ranging from ages 18-26 who emerged as the top 10.
These women will now compete for the ultimate title of Miss Guyana Culture Queen to become an ambassador for Guyana, to represent in the Miss Caribbean Culture Queen pageant in St Kitts and Nevis later this year.
The National Franchise Holder, Randy Madray said that him and his team are very pleased with the lineup and are excited for the production that they will give to Guyana, come pageant night. He said the Miss Guyana Culture Queen should embody what the title says, “Queen of Culture”, and must be ready and equipped with the knowledge and talent to adequately showcase Guyana’s culture on a regional platform.
At the screening, the team got a glimpse of the potential of all the finalists and are confident that each of them has what it takes to walk away with the crown and title.
While the date for the pageant is yet to be confirmed with the venue, the sashing ceremony of the finalists is confirmed for April 22nd at the Umana Yana, starting 7 p.m.
The sashing event will also feature a fashion show with the finalists modeling a new collection from Randy Madray, and another from Michelle Cole-Wagner of Colefacts.
