The cricket world is in mourning following the passing of Frank Cecil Percival Kippins, a renowned West Indian cricket umpire from Guyana. Kippins, born on January 23, 1925, had a distinguished career in umpiring, having stood in ten Test matches and 43 first-class matches between 1953 and 1974.

Kippins’ most notable contributions were made at the Bourda ground in Georgetown, Guyana, where he umpired most of his matches. He was widely respected for his fair and unbiased decisions on the field, earning him a reputation as one of the most reliable umpires of his time.
