Good Hope fisherman arrested for possession of 27 grams marijuana

Monday, between 04:00 hrs and 04:30 hrs, a Deputy Superintendent of Police and a party of police ranks conducted a cordon-and-search exercise on the home of a fisherman of Good Hope Squatting Area, ECD, for drugs, ammunition and wanted persons.
On arrival, the fisherman was contacted and a search was carried out on his home. During the search, Police found a quantity of leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be cannabis on his bed. The fisherman was arrested, cautioned and escorted to the Sparendaam Police Station along with the suspected narcotics which, when weighed, amounted to 27 grams. (Police Release)
